Our Curriculum

Baldwin Academy has proudly aligned itself with the prestigious and time-proven Curriculum and Educational Foundations of The Baldwin Method™.

The Baldwin Method™ was originally founded in an effort to instill primary academia and introductory education in the hearts and minds of the children at Baldwin Academy.  Our successful preschool has been in operation for over thirty years based on the fundamentals of these basic concepts and beginning efforts.  Fueled with a desire to enrich the lives of others and establish a “Foundation for Excellence” in the pre-elementary aged child The Baldwin Method™ was developed and perfected into a streamlined system that continues to elevate the standards of care and education we currently provide.

The Baldwin Method™ is founded on the belief that children consistently flourish and thrive when their environment incorporates a steady routine, firm yet loving supervision, structured activities and events, realistic and obtainable expectations and appropriate boundaries and accountability.

Structured activities and daily events in the preschool setting are primary means of exposing and educating the young child.  In a Baldwin Method™ Facility, these are presented in a variety of mediums mainly through teacher-direction or adult-guidance.  These mediums may incorporate rote and repetitive activities, cyclical, theme, or language based interchanges, as well as, completely new and different approaches based on age appropriateness.  The emphasis is always on purposeful play, sensory stimulation, multiplicity of motor developments as well as cognitive growth and thinking ability.

Apart from instilling academic and personal excellence, Our Curriculum helps us to see the benefit of promoting an environment that emphasizes and encourages the uniqueness of the family and individual family values by safeguarding neutrality in all non-academic arenas.
