Our Staff

Our staff is a diverse group of qualified individuals who have a shared interest in early childhood education and remarkable love for children. Accredited by California State Licensing all of our employees have completed CPR Certification and received Fingerprint Clearances.  Furthermore, each Baldwin Academy Team Member has been personally selected and trained in order to meet Our Academy's Standards.


Our Staff consists of kind, caring professional adults who are mindful of the specific physiological, academic and social growth of each child.  Our Academy prides itself on employing a combination of outstanding, long-term, dedicated individuals with eager, enthusiastic, new team members.

 

 

Administration

 

Mr. Herbert as he is affectionately known to the children, purchased Baldwin Academy in 2007 and has been keeping pace with the busy Childcare Industry notably well ever since. A native of Colombia, Mr. Herbert credits his family and their ownership of a Prestigious University in Bogotá, with his affinity for education. Kept busy as a Business Owner and Family Man, Mr. Herbert skillfully juggles his duties and responsibilities but prides himself on the ability to multi-task. Tuesdays are his famous reading days, where programs benefit directly from his involvement. He finds gratitude in providing a School that has a positive impact on children and graciously accepts the privilege of assisting families with their early educational and childcare needs.

 

Miss Suzie runs Our Academy magically making her numerous duties seem easy and effortless. Taking over as The Director in 2007 after a succession of years teaching in Our Programs, followed by several years in Our Administration, her boundless energy and exuberant personality welcomes Families to an environment she calls home. Indispensable at Baldwin Academy for nearly twenty-five years she is a master at the art of Childcare. Whether working closely with staff members in ensuring each program is operating efficiently, or meeting with parents and students to facilitate the most benefit from attending our school, she balances her busy schedule with the art of showing personal and genuine interest in all of those fortunate enough to be a part of Our Campus. Her profound love of children, her kindhearted and cheerful personality, combined with her many years of knowledge and expertise help keep Baldwin Academy operating at its best! 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Miss Darla shares her willing spirit and helpfulness with our parents, students and staff unreservedly. Always gracious, pleasant and professional she generously gives of her time to see to it that everything is running smoothly and that everyone has what is required to benefit the most from their day at Baldwin. Often out and about on our site, she routinely checks on our programs and avails herself to assist Mr. Herbert and Miss Suzie in all of the day to day operations as well as keeping Our Campus running efficiently and compliant with current regulations. Making it a point to be cheerful, optimistic and friendly, she is an Assistant Director worthy of modeling in all that she does to daily promote the well-being of Baldwin Academy and it’s busy Baldwin Family.

 

Miss Kari starts the week as the highly important provider of all of our commercial goods, including groceries, teaching materials, toys, bikes, and more. Along with her ability to keep up with all of Our Schools continual needs, she creatively adds to Our Environment with an eye for detail in painting, photos, signs and more. Well-rounded in her vast capabilities her numerous talents keep her busy balancing a multitude of tasks and duties. Whether teaching in Our Programs, manning the office, updating files and paperwork, assisting her fellow staff members or our many students, she is always warm, friendly and reliable. Thorough and focused in all that she does, Our Academy is fortunate to have such a devoted Administrator and trusted colleague as part of our office team.

 

 

 

 

Teachers

 

Kari Stone Miss Vanessa easily assists the new parents in our infant program as they leave their tiniest family member for a day in her capable care.  Multitasking comes naturally to her as she transitions daily from mothering her own growing family to doting on our beginning babies.  Calm and caring, she cherishes the little ones, effortlessly making sure that every baby gets plenty of interaction and attention, as well as play, rest, and nourishment.  A comforting presence she has been handpicked for helping our Baldwin Bluebirds thrive, grow and mature into wonderful little beings.

 

Miss Pilar offers a great sense of stability to our infant program.  The day-to-day effectiveness of her presence is assured by her attention to detail in the daily routine of each and every child.  Her tenure of nearly twenty years with Our Academy combined with her vast experience in working with Our Infant Program is not to be outshined by her being an active mother of three!  This resume’ in and of itself, ensures confidence that each of the children she welcomes to The Bluebird Program will be expertly cared for, nurtured and helped to develop magnificently. Miss Jennifer spoils our infants with love, love and more love.  Gentle yet energetic and enthusiastic she keeps our infants happily cared for, whether playing, feeding, diapering or any of the other myriad of duties involved.  Always motivated by the impressions she makes, she is mindful of the importance her role plays during these formative years of a child’s life and gives her all to ensure each and every baby has an abundance of cuddles, singing, playtime and fun.  Feeling fortunate to be able to spend her days in such a phenomenal environment of joy and wonder she exudes gratitude and warms our Kindergarten Program with her happy presence. Laura Miss Rachel  welcomes the one-year-olds with calm assurance that their day will be filled with singing, playing, fun and laughter.  Leading The Parakeet Team seems effortless for her as she sets the standard for combining creativity, caring, and cuddling, outfitting her program with a day of fun-filled activities and adventure for even the busiest babies.  Enjoying the transition that takes place during this stage of a child’s life she excels in balancing the fine lines between gentle guidance, a bit of re-direction and a perfect measure of love and affection. 

 

Miss Laura radiates love, showering our Parakeets with plenty of hugs as she attends to their day with a determination to be warm and attentive in all that she does.  Always caring and concerned, her expert eye is constantly on watch during our one-year-olds day, making sure there’s a great mix of learning, plenty of fun, but most of all, an abundance of laughter and, especially play.     Rosa Carreno

 

Angela Miss Ebone sings her way through each day happy and excited to be a part of the one-year-old team and eager to expend her enormous amounts of energy entertaining and enhancing the Parakeets Day and their Program Environment.  Full of laughter and ready for fun she teaches animatedly encouraging the little ones by example to enjoy all of their activities, have purposeful play and generally have fun no matter what they do.

 

Miss Angela shares her gift of being firm yet loving, encouraging our Canaries to make good choices as they venture from infants into curious and energetic toddlers.  Making teaching two’s seem like a breeze she oversees our Toddler Program with positive guidance and direction, promoting learning through play, sharing and being “gentle” with our friends.  A busy mother of three she is no stranger to a bustling day of activity with children.  Welcoming the challenge of overseeing The Canary Program she is always smiling with a positive outlook, knowing that she can make a difference one two-year-old at a time! Estella Miss Amy is sunshine to our Canary Program, teaching with a positive assurance that each day is a great day when you make it that way!  Reliable and consistent she can be counted on for cheerfulness and optimism. Whether overseeing a fabulous lesson, reading a story, or shaking the sillies out before an activity she’s making sure that all of the Canaries are on board and ready for fun!

 

Miss Christa starts each morning at Baldwin in the busy world of Our Canaries. Interacting withtwo-year-olds as they enjoy, toys, puzzles and books, she is confident and calm, ready to navigate the day as the children learn, sing and play! LeadingCircle Time, which isaclass favorite, Miss Christa playfully, shares songs and animated movements, happy to see the little smiles inspired by the fear of an imagined Crocodile! Miss Christa and her Positive Outlook and Fun Loving Personality are certainly a match for Our Canary Team and their energetic approach to education!

 

Miss Barbara consistently cares for The Canaries with a friendly smile and kindhearted composure. Ever gentle, she thoughtfully teaches our toddlers with a motherly love, looking forward to each child meeting milestones, developing character and evolving from lively two-year-olds into the inquisitive threes. Modeling a good nature and approachability, she makes it easy to see why The Canary Program is always warm and inviting to our children and families.

 

Miss Estella motivated by her love of the Canary Children, excels at keeping the two-year-old program running smoothly, taking extra care to see to it that everything is neat, clean and well organized for the busy birds.  A dedicated and diligent house assistant, she makes friendliness contagious, constantly sharing her warm smile and easy nature with our parents, children and her fellow Baldwin Employees.  Her contributions to the program are innumerable and our gratitude immense, whether assisting teachers, attending to program tasks or tidying up after lunch, she is a ready and willing and very welcomed helper to all.

 

Kali Miss Atria creates a sense of stability and strength within the Robins Program, mentoring our three-year-olds as they evolve from fidgety toddlers into independent thinkers and skilled playground performers.  Making the Program fun and inviting, her teaching style is inventive and imaginative.  She rolls up her sleeves for a day of discovery, hands on.  Understanding that our three-year-olds acquire the most knowledge through personal interaction she gives attention to detail in all of their activities, always involved enjoying her day with children.

 

Miss Quanita overflows with joy, charisma and charm.  A winning combination in Our Robins Program her fun loving ways promote an environment that is perfect for tempering a lot of learning with just as much fun.  Happy to be a part of the three-year-old team, she warmly embraces her teaching responsibilities with zeal and enthusiasm, cheerleading Our Robins into a day of education, age-appropriate activities and good times.

 

Miss Janae overflows with joy, charisma and charm.  A winning combination in Our Robins Program her fun loving ways promote an environment that is perfect for tempering a lot of learning with just as much fun.  Happy to be a part of the three-year-old team, she warmly embraces her teaching responsibilities with zeal and enthusiasm, cheerleading Our Robins into a day of education, age-appropriate activities and good times.

 

Jisselle Miss Kali oversees the Big Nest with warmth and enthusiasm.  Dedicated to making a difference in the lives of children she teaches from the heart and radiates kindness and care in all of her responsibilities at Baldwin.  Family oriented, she excels in organizing each day of the four-year-old program to promote not only education but love, thoughtfulness and friendship.  Helping our Big Nest Children navigate successfully into the elementary arena comes easily to her and their growth and accomplishment throughout the year attest to her devotion to teaching.

 

Mr. Jeremy exudes fun and playfulness as another of The Big Nest Programs wonderful teachers.  Patient and caring, he instructs and oversees activities with eagerness and optimism, helping a Big Nester develop the self-confidence and assurance that are required as they mature towards independence.  His love for children and gratitude to be an educator are clearly seen in the classroom where his talents and energy are always in high demand. Ms. Jisselle entertains and amuses the children with her outgoing disposition and friendly demeanor.  The Big Nest is fortunate to have her motivation and drive as she delivers teaching that is dynamic and fun.  Always with a smile she instills learning through play and animation while still maintaining her ability to be serious when needed.  Actively involved in all of the activities, her teaching style is welcome and refreshing especially when a good dose of laughter and silliness is required.

 

Miss. Jen confidently greets her Kindergartners each day ready to teach, sing, read, and all of the other wonderful activities involved in working with young children. Having a meaningful part in providing a platform for excellence in educating our Parrots, she makes learning fun by being actively involved and enjoying herself as much as her students. With our unique program and the ability to utilize the community in her teaching, she is sure to make the most of each outing and experience. Knowing that our evolving little learners are getting ready to flutter into the grade school world, she helps cultivate the character, independent thinking, creativity and resourcefulness, as well as a number of other necessities, that will make our graduates successful and Our Baldwin Academy Family Proud!  

 

  Miss. Jeanayplayfully joins The Robins each day ready for an action packed adventure of learning and fun. Actively involved, she’s adaptable, fun, and eager to play. More than happy to build with blocks, have a teddy bear tea party or enjoy a Campus Stroll to search for the current Curriculum Letter, she loves the children and the children love her. Engaging and whimsical, she helps make learning through play the most fun possible, day after day!
